J&J Glassworks is committed to making the process from sales to installation as smooth as possible for our customers. Below are our terms, conditions, and warranty information that apply to every glass and mirror project.
Quotes & Estimates
- Quotation pricing is valid for 60 days. After 50 days, J&J Glassworks reserves the right to issue a new quotation with updated pricing as required.
- Quotes are prepared based on information provided by the customer (glass type, layout, sizes, hardware, color, sealant, and other requirements). If any of this information changes, J&J Glassworks will requote the project to reflect the changes.
- All product is priced fairly by the square foot, and all applicable taxes will be applied.
- Production times are estimates only and fluctuate depending on current schedule and material availability. Customers should contact J&J Glassworks to confirm current timelines.
Payment & Order Terms
- To confirm an order, the customer must sign the issued quote and pay a 50% deposit prior to the start of work. Production time commences once both the signed work order and deposit are received.
- By completing the work order, the customer agrees to J&J Glassworks’ terms and conditions.
- Once an order is approved by the customer, the work order cannot be changed, cancelled, or returned.
- Unless otherwise stated, a 50% deposit is due to commence production, with the remaining 50% balance due upon completion of work.
Measurements & Installation
- Installation may require multiple site visits, including measurements, adjustments, and glass or hardware replacements. Any glass that needs to be reordered is placed on high priority to speed up project delivery.
- J&J Glassworks will not order glass measured by the client, and orders cannot be altered once production begins.
- J&J Glassworks is responsible for accurate measurements taken by its own technicians; any errors resulting in a glass reorder will not be billed to the customer.
- The customer is responsible for reviewing the final drawing, overall sizes, and hardware selections. Any changes should be requested prior to signing off on the work order.
Warranty
- J&J Glassworks warrants its products and installation to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of installation.
- J&J Glassworks is not responsible for damage caused by improper use, negligence, or accidental damage.
- For shower installations, warranty coverage requires that the existing sill plate is pitched correctly (in toward the shower); improperly pitched sill plates are not covered under warranty.
Shower Door Enclosures
- Full frameless/heavy glass shower enclosures are designed to deter water from escaping the enclosure, but they are not 100% leakproof by design. There is no guarantee against water splashing or leaking from under swing or sliding doors.
- J&J Glassworks is responsible for following manufacturer specifications to ensure proper operation of sliding and pivot doors. Shower thresholds and inner tiles must be built to ensure proper drainage — leaks caused by improper drainage are not covered. Shower enclosures are sealed around door openings, but with seals and sweeps, some water may escape the enclosure.
Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances will J&J Glassworks be liable for incidental or consequential charges, including but not limited to inconvenience, damage or injury to persons or property, or any other related expense.
